Meet The Crew
Meet the musicians behind Danger80s and the full production — six players who lived the 80s the first time around, plus state-of-the-art sound, lighting and the crew who make the show.
Danger80s is New Zealand's ultimate 80s tribute — Journey, Queen, Tina Turner, Bon Jovi and more, with state-of-the-art lighting and sound. We transport you back to a time of big hair, neon spandex and songs everybody knows every word to. A full 3-hour show, built to sell out.

The Crew

Duane"DANGER"
Lead Vocals
The frontman with a vocal range built for the decade — from powerhouse rock to soaring 80s falsetto. Slick, smooth and consistent, Duane channels the icons of the era with all the swagger the 80s demand, delivering a masterclass in vocal theatrics from the first song to the last encore.

Hinewai"HINE"
Lead Vocals
A stunning Tina Turner-styled voice with soul, power and 80s energy to burn. Loud, soft and sexy, Hine is the perfect foil for the era's biggest female-fronted anthems — and she loves to rock. When the big-hair power ballads and dance-floor divas come out, this is your girl.

Tracey Skibinski-Jones"TJ"
Lead Vocals
Our very own Canadian pocket rocket — full of entertainment jet fuel and made for the neon decade. Tracey's voice is powerfully unique and soulful; after performing professionally across the US, Asia and the Middle East, she brings a world-class 80s pop-diva punch to the front line.

John"JOHNNY"
Guitars / Musical Director
One of the most experienced guitarists in town — renowned for accuracy, technique and tone that nails the iconic riffs of Bon Jovi, Journey and Queen note-for-note. A master of sequence-building and stagecraft, Johnny is the musical director who keeps the whole 80s machine locked in tight.

Peter"BASSMAN"
Bass
A total magician on the bass — the low-end engine that drives every 80s groove. A qualified "everything music" teacher and a gentle giant with a zest for life, Pete brings an encyclopedia of skill and years of experience, locking in with the drums to make the dance floor move.

Sam"SLICK"
Drums
Solid, smooth and slick — the driving force behind the beat. Recently back from the international circuit, Sam brings 30 years of experience and serious energy, playing the rock, soul and synth-pop of the 80s seamlessly. When that gated-reverb snare hits, you feel it.

Dwight"DJ DWIGHT"
DJ
The Original '80s DJ from Christchurch, and the man who owns the room whenever the band steps off it. Dwight opens the night, keeps the floor moving between sets and plays it out at the end — so the party never drops from the moment the doors open to the last song of the night. No dead air, no awkward gaps, just the decade back to back.
The Danger80s musicians also perform as DangerBaby, a separate wedding & covers band — different show, different production.

Full Production Sound
A high-end PA and mix built for venues and festival stages alike — the show travels with its own professional sound.
3-Hour Show
A full-length ticketed show experience, not a support slot — the complete 80s night out.

Front-of-House Sound Engineer
Jonathan "Jono" Lauti
For the bigger shows we bring our own dedicated front-of-house engineer. Jono runs the desk so the mix sounds huge in the room and the whole production lands — not just a band plugged into the house PA. It's the difference between a gig and a proper show.
