What You're Looking At

A Room That Dresses Up

Every photo on this page is from a real Danger80s show — no stock images, no staged crowds. What you'll notice first is the audience: leg warmers, shoulder pads, mullets, neon, the occasional inflatable saxophone. Our crowd turns up in costume without being asked twice, and the dress-up competition on the night (best male, best female and best couple, judged from the stage) is half the reason.

The rest is the room itself. A six-piece band with three lead vocalists, a full lighting rig, and a dance floor that fills in the first three songs and doesn't empty until the encore. Our DJ plays straight through the changeover, so there's never a dead patch where everyone drifts to the bar and the night loses its thread.

These photos come from shows across Canterbury and the top of the South Island, including the Richmond show that sold out. If you're deciding whether to book us for a festival, a corporate function or a private party, this page is the honest version of what the night looks like — a packed floor of people in their fifties and sixties singing every word to Journey, Queen, Bon Jovi and Tina Turner, and dancing harder than the twenty-somethings.
